Trust & Safety

Workmilo is built so that workers stay in control of who can reach them and how. These are the safeguards that protect everyone using the platform.
1. Private contact by default
A worker’s phone number and email are never shown on their public profile. Only the worker chooses when to share these details, and only with hirers they accept.
2. Request First system
Hirers cannot message workers directly. They send a contact request describing the role, location and start date. The worker reviews the request and decides whether to accept, decline or ignore it.
3. Verified companies
Where applicable, hirer accounts are verified against public Companies House records. Verified companies are clearly marked so workers can see who they are speaking with.
4. Report and block tools
Every profile and contact request includes a way to report behaviour that breaks our rules. Reports are reviewed by the Workmilo team and may lead to suspension. You can block any user from contacting you again.
5. Worker control
- Pause your profile at any time.
- Limit who can request your contact by sector or location.
- Turn off SMS or email alerts independently.
- Withdraw shared contact details after a hiring conversation.
6. Safe communication tips
- Keep early conversations on Workmilo where possible.
- Never pay a hirer to be considered for a role — Workmilo will never ask workers to pay an employer.
- Be cautious of anyone asking for bank details, passport scans or personal documents before a clear hiring step.
- Report anything that feels off to support@workmilo.com.
