Workmilo is built so workers stay in control of who can reach them, what is visible on their profile, and how they appear to UK hirers. These safeguards apply across profiles, contact requests, documents, and the worker home feed.
Private contact
Phone, email and WhatsApp stay hidden until you accept a hirer request.
Request first
Companies send a role request — you choose accept, decline or ignore.
You choose visibility
Set who can reach you and whether contact details show on your profile.
Verified hirers
Where applicable, company accounts are checked against Companies House records.
Private contact by default
Your phone number, email and WhatsApp are never shown publicly on your Workmilo profile. In Who can reach you settings you choose whether contact details stay private until you accept a request, or are visible on your public profile.
Request-first hiring
Hirers cannot cold-message workers on Workmilo. They send a contact request with role, location and start details. You review each request and decide whether to accept. If you accept, contact details are shared for that hiring conversation only.
Documents and certificates
CSCS cards, right-to-work documents and other uploads stay private. Hirers see verification badges on your profile — not your actual files. You control uploads from Edit profile in your dashboard.
Feed and community safety
- Report posts that break our rules from the worker home feed.
- Work photos and posts may be reviewed under our moderation guidelines.
- Repeated misuse can lead to content removal or account suspension.
Your safety controls
- Update availability to pause new requests when you are not looking for work.
- Manage alerts in Settings → Alerts & messages.
- Change contact privacy anytime in Settings → Who can reach you.
- Edit profile details, location and work radius from your dashboard.
Safe communication tips
- Take your time before sharing extra personal information outside Workmilo.
- Never pay a hirer to be considered for a role — legitimate employers will not ask.
- Be cautious of anyone asking for bank details, passport scans or documents before a clear hiring step.
- Meet or verify the company where you can before starting on site.
