Our privacy policy

Last updated June 2026

Workmilo is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK GDPR. It applies to worker profiles, hirer accounts, and visitors to workmilo.com.

What we collect

  • Account data — name, email, phone number and login credentials.
  • Worker profile — trade, sector, skills, experience, availability, location, work radius, gender (optional), profile photo, cover photo and intro.
  • Documents — certificates and right-to-work uploads stored securely; hirers see badges, not your files.
  • Activity — contact requests, profile views, saved jobs, feed posts, comments, likes and reports.
  • Hirer data — company name, Companies House number, sectors and locations where provided.
  • Device & notifications — push notification tokens when you opt in, plus browser and device information needed to deliver alerts.
  • Payments — billing records processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

How we use your data

We use your data to run Workmilo, show relevant workers to hirers, deliver notifications you have opted into, keep the platform safe, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Contact details and visibility

Worker contact details are private by default. They are shared with a hirer only after you accept a contact request, or if you choose to show them on your public profile in Who can reach you settings. You can change this anytime in Settings.

Location data

You may enter a town, postcode or use device location to help hirers find you. Location is used to power search and matching — not sold to advertisers. You control what appears on your profile.

Feed and work photos

Posts, comments and work photos you share on the worker feed are stored to display your activity and support moderation. Other users can report content that breaks our rules.

Marketing and analytics

We may use conversion tags (such as Google Ads and Meta Pixel) to measure sign-ups and improve advertising. See our Cookie settings for how to manage these technologies.

Your rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing messages.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
