Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Workmilo is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK GDPR.
1. What data we collect
- Account details — name, email, phone number, password.
- Worker profile data — category, skills, experience, availability, location and right-to-work status.
- Hirer profile data — company name, Companies House number, sectors and locations.
- Activity — contact requests, responses and saved profiles.
- Payment data — handled by our payment provider.
2. How we use data
We use your data to operate Workmilo, match workers with relevant hirers, send notifications you have opted into, and keep the platform safe. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Contact details and privacy
Worker contact details are private by default and are never shown publicly on a profile. They are unlocked to a hirer only after the worker accepts a contact request, and only for a limited time.
4. Companies and workers
Hirer accounts may be verified using public Companies House data. Worker information is shared with hirers only as needed to support hiring conversations, in line with these terms.
5. Payment data
Payments are processed by our payment provider (such as Stripe). Workmilo does not store full card details. We retain a record of payments for accounting, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand how the platform is used. See our Cookie Policy for details.
7. User rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing messages.
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner.
